Passion

Passion was a title for a theatre I have been watched with my course mate recently. First impression when I heard people said something about the theatre; I think it is not really interesting to watch. The Theatre was held at Pentas 2, The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPack). After I watch the theatre, it was quite boring. I don’t really understand the message they try to convey. And the theatre wasn’t ordinary theatre, it based on musical theatre. Passion, inspired by Carlos Saura’s film ‘Tango’ is created by Joe Hasham. The choreographer and collaborator is exquisitely talented Judimar Hernandez. Passion boasts the cast of Malaysia’s top dancers and choreographers. Bold, seductive and boring. Their dancing was nothing and it is meaningless. They convey their message through body language but some of audience maybe include me still blurred what the message are. Sometimes I do understand what they are trying to reveal but sometimes I don’t. in this theatre show, it was mainly about a man who was dating his girlfriend for about two years but he had been betrayed. His lover date anther man besides him. He felt devastated. So, at the same time he fall in love with other lady. As he try to build the relationship with that lady, his lover came to him after she was dumped from her other boyfriend and try to win his heart back. Eventually, his lover managed to win his heart back and leave another lady in despair. But it was for a shot while, because the man still in delusion who to choose between her girlfriend or the new lady who actually had win his heart. Both he wanted! So both of the ladies left him alone. He was dejected. Then, at the end of the play both ladies making love with each other. They are lesbian. What a pathetic! All in all, it was a boring story and full of seduction.
